Sailing & Cycling – May 2015
Thirteen young people joined us for our May weekend one of our large groups. However with extra help both accompanying us and from friend at Lakes Leisure everything went well. A big thank you to New volunteers Gerrard and Anna.
We faced blustery winds and high waves on Windermere on Saturday resulting in three capsizes on all the dinghies although one was planned. This added to the excitement for the youngsters although they did get a little wetter than planned.
Our gig “Out for a A Duck” had enough wind to sail on the jib alone. A big thanks to Archie and Katy who joined us with the sailing for the day.
On Sunday everyone cycled with three additional tandems and another solo bike. Thanks to Dan Mark Katy and Archie for their support.
